Short Biography

My name is Salih Mustafa Salih. Currently, I am a lecturer on Food Authenticity and Quality Control and Head of the Nutrition and Dietetics Department of Cihan University, Erbil- Kurdistan Region, Iraq.

I joined the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at Cihan University- Erbil as a part-time Lecturer in December 2018 and became a full-time lecturer and the Head of Nutrition and Dietetics Dept. in October 2019.

My first degree (B.Sc) was in Animal Resources, College of Agriculture, Salahaddin University- Erbil in 2005. After that, I appointed as a Demonstrator at Dept. of Animal Resources, Salahaddin University- Erbil in October 2005 till January 2008.

I got three postgraduate degrees in Food Science & Technology from three different universities in the United Kingdom

In January 2008 I was awarded a scholarship by the Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research of the Iraqi Government to study postgraduate degrees. I finished my PGDip on Food Production Management at Nottingham University in the UK in 2009. Then I finished my master's degree (M.Sc.) in Food Safety and Quality Management at Greenwich University, London, UK in 2010.

In 2012 I was awarded another scholarship by the Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research of Kurdistan Region named HCDP Program to study Ph.D. I started my PhD in November 2012, and I finished my Ph.D. in Food Authenticity and Quality Control at the University of Plymouth, UK in November 2017.
