The IAM Driving/Riding Assessment is designed for current IAM Members. It is a 'voluntary retest' to assess if driving and riding skills have been maintained and to identify any areas that require improvement or attention.

The IAM Driving/Riding Assessment comprises:-

• • An introductory briefing

  • A period of driving/riding by the member - assessed by the IAM Examiner

  • A further period of driving/riding by the member - with open discussion, (not instruction)

  • A full debrief and written score sheet

The IAM Driving/Riding Assessment does not affect your IAM membership. However the Driving/Riding Assessment is the perfect way for an existing member to qualify for the IAM F1RST Register by meeting the qualifying score.

At the end of the assessment the examiner will give a comprehensive verbal debrief covering the strengths and weaknesses of the member's driving/riding. The candidate may discuss any refresher opportuntiies with their local IAM group.

Members who undertake and complete an Driving/Riding Assessment will receive a certificate.
