Course Description:
Algebra 1 is the foundation for all high school math. We will have a state EOC test in May. We will solve and graph linear functions, quadratic functions, polynomial functions and exponential functions. Students must be able to solve problems with and without a calculator.
A major objective of the class is to prepare students for Algebra 1 EOC and to strengthen skills needed on ACT/SAT tests.
Materials needed for this class:
- Graphing calculator( TI 84+ will be used in class) - we will have a class set, but students will need calculators for homework
- We will keep a notebook - students may use composition book, folder, spiral, or 3-ring binder
- Pencils
I will have class sets of materials we use, but if you would like to buy your own. We will use markers, map colors, rulers, protractor, highlighters, graph paper, and calculators. 84+ CE
