Safety Contract

All students are required to read and understand my rules for safety in the classroom. Failure to do so will be met with consequences.

These rules are set in place to keep the environment safe for all who are in the lab.

We can create great things in our tech lab but we must all follow the rules to know how to operate the machinery and how to keep everyone safe.

All students are given a copy of this document at the beginning of my class to have it share and signed by a parent or guardian.

BYOD POLICY: Students are allowed to bring in devices (smart phones, tablets, laptops) to be used to take pictures, conduct research, or use specific programs related to our projects. When we are not utilizing the devices, students are to put them away or shut them off. Students are allowed to take pictures of their projects and designs to be used in their personal journals and reports. They are not allowed to take pictures of other students or post their pictures onto the internet as stated in the safety contract and the responsible use policy. Not following these rules can result in the instructor holding onto the device until the end of the day/class or requiring the parent/guardian to pick up the device from the office.

Feel free to print out a copy if you need to and please email me if you have any questions.
