Students New to the District
Students new to the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools must first enroll at the district's central office, Lincoln Center.

After you have enrolled through Lincoln Center, contact your grade level counselor for information about elective course selection.
Course Offerings: Core Courses
McDougle Middle School students are automatically enrolled in five core classes: Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, Math, and Health/PE.

Course Offerings: Elective Courses
MMS students have space in their schedules for two elective courses:
Four semester courses OR
One yearlong course and two semester courses OR
Two yearlong courses.
Elective courses may be replaced with support courses depending on a student's grades, test scores, or Individualized Education Program (IEP).
Students in our Spanish Dual Language program are automatically enrolled in a Spanish Social Studies course. They are also enrolled in a Spanish Language Arts course as one of their electives.
