Student Course Website: Cisco Netacad, Palo Alto Academy
Cybersecurity courses introduce students to skills needed to secure digital information and network systems. Students learn through a balance of class discussions, lab activities, online activities, and research. Depending on course selections, students are exposed to topics needed to successfully complete the Palto Alto PCCSA, Cisco CyberOps, and/or CompTia Security+. Chapel Hill High School uses the Palo Alto Cybersecurity Academy, Cisco Networking Academy, and dual enrollment with DTCC for course curricula. In addition, students are encouraged to participate in the CHHS Cybersecurity Club and CyberPatriot Team for more training and connection to industry professionals. All of our courses are part of CHHS's Academy of Information Technology (AOIT). Academy students will meet Academy course credit. However, all students are welcome to take these courses (not limited to AOIT members).
