Introduction to Opening Doors Materials

Each of the Opening Doors booklets has a power point presentation and a scavenger hunt developed to help students access the material. Each power point focuses on a few main points from the corresponding Opening Door booklet that students would benefit from discussing. Please feel free to adapt these power points for your particular students and their individual needs. They can be used as Guided Instruction materials or as part of the Extension Activities. The scavenger hunts help students go into more of the details and vocabulary found in the Opening Doors booklets. These can be used as Independent Practice assignments or Extension Activities. Some students may require that you complete the scavenger hunt as a class or one-on-one to make sure the students understand the content. These materials would be a great addition to a parent night as well. All of the Opening Doors booklets can be accessed online at www.witig.org.
