Safety
Safety is a major concern and will be addressed in any class where students will be using the laboratory. Prior experiences with equipment and processes can be very beneficial for students, as well as creating bad habits and possibly dangerous experiences. Each year students will be expected to show their knowledge of safety policies and practices.
Students will be required to have signed permission from their parents to use the major equipment in the laboratory. Students will also have to pass a safety test with 100%, observe a demonstration, and demonstrate their own safe use of each machine they utilize. These safety requirements will need to be performed once each school year. If you have any questions or concerns about safety please do not hesitate to contact me.
