ANSWER:
Absolutely not! The focus will be on proper lifting and safety techniques through a variety of movements. We will use a wide range of equipment, as well as body weight exercises. The goal is to increase our fitness level using the components of fitness
QUESTION: What is Fitness Testing?
ANSWER:
Twice a semester (beginning and end) students will assess their current fitness level:
- Push-ups (Muscular Endurance & Strength)
- Sit-ups (Muscular Endurance & Strength)
- Mile Run (Cardiovascular Endurance)
- PACER (Cardiovascular Endurance)
- Sit & Reach (Flexibility)
- Shuttle Run (Agility)
For each exercise the student will be recorded a ZONE ("Advanced", "Healthy" , or "Needs Improvement")
