2019 ILMEA Music

You are eligible to audition for the ILMEA Junior Orchestra this Fall. The ILMEA Junior Orchestra is comprised of the best junior high school musicians in Illinois and selection for this group is a distinctive honor. You are not required to audition for this event, but you are encouraged to do so based on your musical accomplishments.

You may find the audition music attached below. If you are interested in auditioning, I strongly recommend that you practice the music with a private instructor during the summer months. When school resumes in the fall, I will schedule a time to work with any interested students.

Auditions will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Northbrook Junior High School ( 1475 Maple Avenue, Northbrook, IL 60062) in Northbrook and audition results will be announced a few days after.

Students selected as members of the ILMEA Junior Orchestra will participate in a morning/afternoon rehearsal session followed by an afternoon concert on Saturday, November 2, 2019, at Maine West High School (1755 S. Wolf Road, Des Plaines, IL 60018 ).
