An important step in your EE journey is the Extended Essay Fair which takes place at the beginning of the Semester 2. In this session, Year 12s will be given the opportunity to discuss what it's like to write an EE with Year 13s who have recently completed their Extended Essays.
This session also provides Year 13s with the opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments and share their EEs and useful advise with their Year 12 colleagues.
During the fair, Year 12s will discuss the EE process with Year 13s who have completed and EE in their chosen subject area (if available) as well as students from other subject areas with the aim of getting a well rounded perspective on the process and possible challenges they may face.
Although students are completing EEs in different subject areas, the EE process itself is the same regardless of topic or area of focus. Students will benefit greatly from discussing the process with a wide range of students across various areas of study.
"Today I really learned that time management plays a big role in the EE, I felt that it was good to get an insight on how to manage your time during the process of the EE because it’s something I struggle with. I now know that in order to stay stress free and not get overloaded with work, I must meet my deadlines. I also found that it was really helpful to understand how to pace yourself during the process "

“ Some of the questions that I found most helpful were, "What was the biggest challenge of your EE process and if you could re-do the EE, what would you do differently?" If I had to summarize the things I took away from these meetings, it would be to choose a topic that I have an interest in, use my time wisely, and take in my supervisor's feedback.”
