Band Camp Dates:
Please take note of the dates for summer band camps. These are mandatory rehearsals. Mr. King, using the VHS Band Handbooks guidelines of attendance, must clear any exceptions.
Music Rehearsals: June 11th, 18th, 25 & July 9th,16th, 23rd 2-4pm
Students must attend 5 of 6 summer music rehearsals. Failure to attend will jeopardize your membership in the VHS Band Program per VHS Band Handbook Guidelines of attendance.
July 22-26th Mini Camp
2-6pm- Full Band
Band Pictures July 26th 8am
July 29th- Aug 2nd FULL Band Camp
2pm-6pm & 7pm-10pm Full Band camp for everyone at VHS
Family Performance August 2nd – at The Lot 4pm
Pool Party 6-8pm CWAC
This coming year, membership in the Vinemont Marching Eagle Band will be mandatory for rising 8-11th grade band students and rising 7th graders (next years 8th grade) will be able to audition for a spot in the Marching Eagle Band. Music will be made available in March for the audition. Requirements include a minimum of three major scales from memory & a successful performance of the audition piece for the director.
Students are expected and required to be in attendance for all performances. A note/email 2 weeks in advance from parents is required if a performance has to be missed. If a student is sick, please contact me as soon as possible so that I can make adjustments as needed. Failure to do so will result in grade deduction and count as an unexcused absence and jeopardize your membership in the VHS Band Programs.

Throughout marching season we will have afternoon practices. Rehearsals will be on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday afternoons. Two weekly absences of any reason & you will perform from the sideline at half-time. Continued membership will also be jeopardized after meeting with the director.

There is a credit of $50 available to all families who work the concession stand.
Alternate payment plans can be implemented for those in need through notifying the Director.
Any student who is not current with their fees may forfeit their membership in the band programs. If a student is not up to date on their payments, he or she will not be allowed to perform at pep rallies, halftime, travel to competitions or go on any band trip.Fees can be offset by participation in fundraisers and is highly encouraged by ALL band members.

The Vinemont band program is a program with a rich history of success in its musical endeavors and its ability to help students to grow in the areas responsibility, discipline, and social maturity.
This is directly affected by the support of our Band Boosters Parents.
I urge you to get involved. Our band officers will assist you and your experience with the band will be enriched through your efforts working towards the bands common goal of success.
