February Band Notes

ALL State Auditions qre Jan. 31^st at Muscle Shoals HS. You will be assigned a time to audition.

Mardi Gras practice will be for only those attending Mardi Gras and are required for a successful performance in Mobile, Al. Additional rehearsals for February are on band website.

Please make plans to attend our monthly band meetings as we make final preparations regarding Mardi Gras. All Chaperones will be expected to attend the February (2^nd) meeting to go over chaperone expectations.

Upcoming Events:

Color Guard Clinics: Tuesday 27th & Thursday29th from 3:30-5pm for all interested in auditioning for guard this Fall. Open to current 8^th-11^th graders. No Cost. Additional dates will be added in February/March/& April.

Drum Major Clinics: Every Monday in February at Good Hope HS with Mr. Parker from 3:30-4:30pm. These clinics are to assist those interested in auditioning for Drum Major at their respective school. No Cost. Highly Encouraged!

Little Miss Vinemont Saturday march 7^th – Fundraiser for Band

MPA (Music Performance Assessment) March 3^rd,4^th, or 5^th

A hand-full of chaperones will be needed to travel by bus to UNA for performance. Performance times range from 9am-4pm
