EXAMPLE OF ACADEMIC LANGUAGE FOR ELEMENTARY STRIKING
Function: Recite
Vocabulary: Strike, catch, balloon, follow through
Syntax: Reciting the cues in order
Discourse: Describe or explain the skill
Planned Supports: Teach skill using cues, repeat cues aloud, write cues on the board, verbal check of cues
Evidence of Academic Language: Video clips with time stamps, additional videos, student work samples, other written evidence
