Who am I?

I am the daughter of Virgil and Mary Stillion. I grew up in Senecaville, Ohio and went from 1st grade to 12 grade in Rolling Hills Local School District. I knew I wanted to be a teacher my first day of school. I loved my teacher Mrs. Drake at Buffalo Elementary School.

I later realized I had a special interest in science when I attended Meadowbrook Junior High. Miss Apperson (later to become Mrs. Carter) was the most awesome science teacher ever! In her class, science came alive. I am still influenced by her today. As a high school student, I tried almost everything. I was a cheerleader, played on the basketball team, played trumpet and clarinet in the band, belonged to numerous clubs and on homecoming court. I was an honor roll student and member of the National Honor Society. Again I loved those science classes!

I graduated in 1982. In 1986 I earned a BA in Education from Muskingum University. A year later I married my high school sweetheart Tom Hannon. He is also employed with Cambridge City Schools. He is the assistant principal at the high school. We have been married for 31 years and have four children. In 2007 I received my Master's Degree in Administration. I have been a teacher for 28 years. I have been with Cambridge City Schools for 19 years mostly teaching 6th grade science.

1. Mrs. Hannon grew up in Senecaville and attended Meadowbrook Junior High and High School. Graduated in 1982.
2. Mrs. Hannon is the third oldest of 37 grandchildren her dad's side. (Holiday get-togethers are amazing!)

13. Mrs. Hannon's oldest child is 27 (Mary) and she is an elementary art teacher and mother of Mrs. Hannon's grandchild (Kendalynn)
14. Mrs. Hannon's second oldest child is 26 (Shawn) and he is a certified teacher in physicial education, intervention specialist.
15. Mrs. Hannon taught in North Union Local School district in Richwood, Ohio for 6 years.
16. Mrs. Hannon taught at Mid East Ohio Vocational School Buffalo Campus for 3 years.
17. Mrs. Hannon has taught in Cambridge City Schools for 20 years.
