Behavior Expectations
Behavior Expectations
In our classroom, we will be following the school-wide "Above the Line" behavior program created by Corwin Kronenberg.
Below are examples of behaviors. It is expected that students' behaviors will be "Above the Line."
Above the Line
- Be safe
- Be respectful
- Be responsible
- Be a worker
- Be cooperative
- Be polite
Below the Line
- Swearing
- Teasing
- Uncooperative
- Hitting
Bottom Line
- Weapons
- Vandalism
- Sexual or Racial Harassment
- Assault
- Vandalism
Students who choose "Below the Line" behaviors will have the option create a "Fix it" plan with the adult in charge or to take a consequence created by the adult. The consequence will be delivered respectfully and related to the behavior, though the student will not know what the consequence will be until they have decided between the "Fix it" plan or the consequence.
In my room, students will earn "bee bucks" for demonstrating "Above the Line" behaviors. Once a month we will hold an auction to buy things with our earned money.
There will be a class prize for staying "Above the Line" as a class for the whole day. In our room we can move our bee down the beehive chart which will earn us a class prize.
I appreciate your support with our behavior program!
