Candidate: one or two 10th/11th grade students plus skit crew participants of any grade level.
Academics: up to two 9th/10th grade students and up to two 11th/12th grade students per subject area. Subjects include agriscience, language arts, math, science, social studies and Spanish
Show Choir: minimum of 12 students required
Performing Arts: one small group of 1 to 3 students
Visual Arts: up to two 9th/10th grade students and up to two 11th/12th grade students. Categories include digital art, drawing, fiber art, jewelry, mixed media, painting, photography, sculpture, recyclable art, and woodworking
Lead Outside the Box: Team of 4 presenters + other students; generally led by the president.
Project Proposal: Team of 3 to 5 students; generally led by the vice-president.
Collaboration Connection: Team of 5 to 8 students; generally led by a secretary.
Leadership Representative: Individual 10th or 11th grade leadership team member.

Candidate: only open to students who performed exceptionally well as a district level candidate
Apparel Design: 1-2 students must present at convention; others may help prepare.
Character Performance: team of 3 or more students.
Engineering: team of 3 to 5 students. Completed onsite.
Freshman Problem Solving: team of 3 to 4 9th grade students.
Living Literature: team of 2 or more students.
Marketing and Communications: team of 3 to 5 students must present; others may help prepare.
Performing Arts: small group of 1 to 3 students or larger group of 4+ students. We can send one small group and 1 large group.
Portfolio: 1-2 students must present at convention; others may help prepare.
Quiz Bowl: team of 4 students.
Robotics Showcase: team of 4 to 8 students.
Service Learning Showcase: 1 student must present at convention; others may help prepare.
