Teacher Bio

Mr. Jones is a husband, father, and friend whose greatest desire is to help others thrive. He and his wife, Jamie, have been married for over 16 years. They have four young children who are the joy of their lives. In his free time Mr. Jones enjoys swimming with his family, playing tennis, exercising, playing Legos with his kids, hiking, reading, traveling, watching movies, and anything related to the beach.

Throughout Mr. Jones’ career as a teacher he has served students in large and small, private and public, suburban and inner city schools. Physics, Forensics, Astronomy, Algebra, Geometry, and Pre-Calculus are a few of the subjects he has taught. Wherever he is he has helped students obtain academic excellence by designing hands-on learning experiences. Mr. Jones believes that experiential learning provides the context that makes the content meaningful.

With exceptional organizational and communication skills, an outstanding work ethic, and the ability to work productively with others, Mr. Jones hopes to continue to help students achieve academic excellence. Currently, he has the privilege of teaching Physics and Robotics at Challenge to Excellence Charter School.

Educationally Mr. Jones holds a B.S. in Physics with a Minor in Mathematics, an M.A. in Organizational Leadership, is certified as a Professional Educator, and was a licensed foster parent. One day he hopes to earn his PhD, become a college professor, write books, and speak at conferences.
