About Me

I have been a school library media specialist for about 10 years. I have been the MS/HS library media specialist at Arlington Memorial High School, which is part of the Battenkill Valley Supervisory Union, since 2014. My four areas of professional interest are integrating technology using the interactive whiteboard, web tools, digital citizenship and applying game principles to education. My extensive knowledge of children's literature has served me well over the years as a school librarian.

I started my career in education as a teacher in 4-5 classroom in the mid 1990s. In recent years, I have presented regularly at state and national technology conferences. Most recently, I presented two sessions about gaming in the classroom at Dynamic Landscapes 2015.

In the summer of 2014, I completed the MA in Teaching with Technology program through Marlboro College Graduate and Professional Studies. My areas of special interest are instructional design and educational gaming. If you happen to be playing Minecraft or enjoying Second Life keep an eye out for my gamer tag PansyPedals. I live with my husband and two children in Bennington, Vermont where we like to ride our collection of vintage Schwinn bicycles around town or just out for ice cream.
