Immigrants Tell Their Stories

Want to learn how a MS social studies teacher and a librarian worked together to help students turn their immigrant stories into online picture books? It wasn’t difficult but it was interesting using chromebooks, Google apps and a handful of free online tools like StoryboardThat and FLIPHTML5. Sixth grade students wrote and illustrated historically accurate narratives to reflect their specific immigrant group and then to make their stories available to a wider audience they converted them into e-books.
