Playground Rules

Dear families,

At the beginning of each year we have a discussion with students the importance of having rules. These not only include norms for how we act within our classroom, hallways and cafeteria, but also include how we keep ourselves and each other safe on the playground. Below is the slideshow we share with students about how to stay safe on the playground. All Whittier staff enforce these rules during the school day. We would appreciate your help in maintaining the same rules during off hours, especially before and after school. This helps to alleviate any confusion for children when they are playing outside, especially when we have young kids watching and admiring older siblings and children.
