About Me

Welcome to the Platt Band Program!  I am excited to share my passion for music with you.  I grew up in Littleton, CO as the oldest of two children.  My Bachelor's degree is from Colorado State University and I am proud to be a Ram (regardless of how the football team is performing or the in-state rivalry with CU). I live in Longmont with my partner Jacob, who also teaches music in Johnstown, CO.  While this is my first year as a full-time director, I've taught music for several years in a variety of settings, including K-5 general music, middle school band and orchestra, and high school concert, jazz, and marching band. I am a saxophonist first and foremost but I play a little bit of everything including the guitar and the piano.  When I'm not making music, I love spending time reading, baking, spending time with friends, family, and my two dogs, and tending to my small army of houseplants.
