After leaving the Navy, I started my teaching career at Fort Lupton High School and continued at Longmont High School, teaching both science and math. After five years of teaching I went to graduate school to research and learn about innovative ways to teach kids who struggle with science and mathematics, and I received my doctorate in science education in 2013.
I feel very fortunate to be able to teach the amazing students of Centaurus and to explore ways to to improve my own teaching in a collaborative and supportive school. In my free time, I like fly fishing, biking, backpacking, and spending time in the outdoors with my wife and three kids.
