We are so excited to be starting a new Kindergarten year with your child at Fireside. In addition to what happens inside the classroom, an important part of each child's education comes from home. We understand that it is important for you to know what your child is learning and doing in Kindergarten, so you will hear from us regularly via a biweekly Kindergarten email newsletter, as well as information on our website. We also would like to know your concerns, questions, and needs. Please feel free to contact us at any time.

Take-Home Reading : Each Friday students will take home 5 books to read over the week. Book bags need to be returned each Thursday.
An optional Fundations homework packet is available by request.
Optional math homework can be found in the book sent home.
IXL Math and Kids A-Z Reading are always available at home. Select students have Lexia reading intervention lessons available online as well.
Volunteers are welcome in our classroom, library, and work room. Tasks like Friday Folders are also available outside the classroom. If you wish to volunteer a small chunk of your time and energy in our classroom, we will all benefit and be most grateful!
