Incoming Freshmen
Any incoming freshman wanting to serve as a representative on Student Council next year will need to email Russell.Selnau@bvsd.org to set up an interview time with the class advisor and current senior class representatives. Interviews will take place from 4-6pm on Wednesday, April 8th and Thursday, April 9th. Each time slot will be approximately 7 minutes in length and the interview will cover your views on student leadership within the school/community. Interview sign-ups must be completed by Monday, April 6th. Available time slots can be viewed in the document below:

Mr. Selnau and the current Student Council seniors will then select up to 10 freshmen to serve as representatives for the 2026-2027 school year. All candidates will be notified of final decisions via email on Monday, April 20th.

Current BHS Students New to StuCo
Current BHS students and returning members will be required to run in a school-wide election held on Monday, April 13th. A required informational meeting will be held during Advisory on Monday, March 9th in room 2280 to receive election information and learn about the election process. A total of 33 spots will be available across the combined sophomore, junior, and senior classes for the upcoming school year. All candidates will be notified of election results via email on Monday, April 20th.
Every candidate must submit a headshot and 1-2 sentences explaining why they would like to be a representative on Student Council for the election ballots to Russell.Selnau@bvsd.org by noon on Friday, April 10th.
All future sophomores, juniors, and seniors new to StuCo will be additionally required to complete the following interview form by Friday, April 10th:
