日本語へようこそ!
Welcome to Boulder High School Japanese
Japanese at Boulder High School is not just about learning a new language! It is also about experiencing a non-western way of thinking and gaining an appreciation for one of the world's great cultures. Cultural activities include watching films, reading folk stories, writing haiku, learning calligraphy and origami; and, of course, eating Japanese food. In addition, there are many exchange programs through which students can receive scholarships to travel to Japan. Japan is one of the safest, most modern countries in the world - a great place to visit!

Boulder High School offers 4 levels of Japanese: level 1 - level 4/Advanced Placement. Since the A.P. level in Japanese is the fourth year of study, students who start in Japanese 1 as freshmen can reach the A.P. level as seniors. There are also ways for motivated sophomores who start in Japanese 1 to reach the A.P. level.
