About Me

I've had a passion for science for as long as I can remember. In 2003 I received my Bachelors degree in Biology from Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont, CA. From there I pursued multiple careers in various fields, including insurance, physical therapy, and banking. In the back of my head I always knew I wanted to be a science teacher but the timing just never seemed to be right. Finally, in 2015 I was able to go back to school and in 2016 I received my teaching credential from Brandman University. While the road to teaching certainly has not been easy it has been the best decision I've ever made. Throughout my journey I've been fortunate to have some amazing mentors (you know who you are). Without their dedication, guidance, and support this adventure towards teaching would not have been possible. I look forward to an amazing year of teaching science at Rolling Hills and feel incredibly lucky to be part of such an awesome school. Go Bengals!

When I'm not in the classroom I enjoy hanging out with my husband and son, crafting, and watching my favorite old time T.V. shows. I've had the opportunity to run four marathons, including the Boston Marathon with my dad in 2010 (it was fun, I swear).

In addition to science I also have a passion for traveling. My traveling adventures have taken me all over the United States, Ireland, England, Denmark, Amsterdam, Prague,Sweden, Spain, and Scotland. I'm an avid fan of I Love Lucy, the San Francisco Giants, and Pearl Jam.
