Grading and Rubrics

Overall Grading for the Project is as follows (see WH 2nd Sem Project Grade below for a more specific breakdown) :

Individual Accountability – 75%

    Initial research – should produce notes via graphic organizer

    First Version and Final Paper (see WH Sem 2 Paper Requirements and WH Sem 2 Rubric below for grading)

    Individual contribution to determining topics, priorities, etc

    Individual slide(s) for presentation (see Project Slide Rubric below for grading)

    Individual contribution/performance - public presentation

Group Accountability – 20% (see Presentation Rubric below)

    Process for determining topics was followed by group (see "Group Process" page)

    Presentation was consistent in format, theme, appearance

    Overall quality of presentation was good

    Arguments in support of position (Pro or Con) were objective and supported by facts

Quality Points - 5%

    All deadlines were met (Notes, First Version, Slides, etc)

    Work showed serious thought and effort throughout

    Class time for project was used wisely throughout

    Support for points was creative and demonstrated depth of thought

    Individual work and/or contribution to team were "above and beyond" basic requirements
