From Barbara and Ed Nicholson (parents of Sarah):
Saturday, May 23, 2015
Time: 8:30 am - 8:50 am
Location: Behind the John Carter Brown Library
Many of you may remember that a tree was planted at our 35th reunion in memory of Sarah Nicholson. We gathered under the tree with members of Sarah's class of 1990.
This year on Saturday, May 23 we will be under the tree again, just behind the John Carter Brown library at 8:30 to 8:50 am just before the All Class Memorial service at Sayles Hall at 9:00 am.
The Brown friendships that Sarah had are treasures....come by the tree and be amazed at how it has grown and thrived over the past 20 years. Congratulations to the Class of 1990 on your 25th, and to our Class of 1960 on our 55th!

Class of 1960 Mini-Reunion
Friday 10/19/12 and Saturday 10/20/12
Brown Stadium's new video scoreboard featuring
live video and instant replays
By all accounts, our first class mini-reunion was enjoyed by all. A rainy Friday did not dampen the spirits at the Brown Faculty Club reception on Friday evening. By Saturday blue skies and sunshine provided a perfect Fall day for a tailgate party at Brown Stadium and the Brown vs Cornell football game. We were grateful to the Brown Bears for an exciting game. Brown won the battle of turnovers, resulting in a 21-14 victory. We wrapped up the day with a pleasant dinner at the Agawam Hunt Club.
Our special thanks to Becky Hill Eckstein and Joan Hoost McMaster for making most of the arrangements for the festivities. In attendance were classmates Jim Bower, Bernie Buonanno, Paul Choquette, Tim Hennessey, Ed Rundquist, Mary Miga Fenlon, Janet McWain Colby, Joan Hoost McMaster, Barbara Deller, Jane Doane Anderson, Mary Birdsall Cervoni, Becky Hill Eckstein and spouses and guests.
The Faculty Club was so generous with the hors d'oeuvres that we decided to wrap up the leftovers for Saturday's football tailgate party.
Becky secured a prime parking spot for our tailgate party on Saturday.

THE FABULOUS FIFTIETH May 2010
OUR REUNION GIFT
The final numbers are in and we raised $1,435,322 for our reunion gift to the Brown Annual Fund…becoming only the second 50th reunion class to reach the million dollar level and setting a new record in the process. Although a bit short of our aggressive goal of $1.5 million, we surpassed the previous record held by the class of 1958 by a whopping $403,322. Even more impressive, our class participation was an excellent 56.5 %.
PHOTOS AND COMMENTS
The photos below and the comments received from classmates clearly show what a great reunion it was.
We will add to this by providing access through Picasa to many more photographs that some of you may wish to share.

"I was inspired by the new graduates, by us and by the grads 15 years our senior. As usual, I loved catching up with the usual suspects and also talking with people I never knew 50 years ago."
A show of respect
"I came home with a renewed sense of commitment to Brown."
Commencement Grand Marshal Tony Ittleson leads the parade!
"I am so proud of our school and our class."
What a crowd!
"It was wonderful from beginning to end."
Through the gate once again after 50 years!
"I found the whole experience of being back at Brown 50 years later very moving. The energy and enthusiasm among our classmates was infectious."
The Brown Band sets the tone.
"What a super reunion!!! Can't thank you enough for all your planning and good work. It all was great fun from beginning to end."
President Ruth Simmons
"I really enjoyed my 50th reunion, although I still can't believe that it has been 50 years since I last walked down College Hill. It somewhat startled me when someone remarked that when we graduated, the 50th reunion class was that of 1910. They were old people, and, of course we are not!!!
1960 parades down the hill
"I am still talking to anyone who will listen about how inspiring, energizing and incredible our reunion was There was such an energy in everyone! I think in part that we are where we are and who we are, and it's pretty good. I was amazed at how easy it was to talk with total strangers in the most cordial way. And being there alone, I had lots of opportunity to do so.
Someone said something that made me realize that I should march down the hill and I am so glad I did. What a ceremony!
And I was so pleased with the invite to the professors who had guided us lo these many years ago."
