Please note: All volunteers must satisfactorily complete a background check every 12 months and receive an identification card in order to volunteer within the Bridgman Public Schools system. This screening can take 5-10 business days to process before you are approved as a volunteer.

You will need to complete the BIB (Background Investigation Bureau) process if you are...

• chaperoning field trips
• helping with classroom parties
• sharing lunch with a student in the cafeteria
• helping with other activities in the classroom and/or school building
• participating as a guest speaker
• working as a committee member (PTO, etc.)
• coaching
• having any direct contact with students
