BEST of the BRICKYARD

Best of the brickyard is a reinforcement tool that our students should be familiar with by now. Our team of 8th grade teachers are going to be monitoring the students to try and catch them doing something that falls under our core values. These values might be represented by a student demonstrating characteristics of a responsible, caring, and respectful individual while being a hard-working learner.

We also have a demerit system, and if a student goes the entire year without receiving any demerits, they will have earned a golden "Wonka" brick.

When the students earn a brick, a teacher fills it out and tapes it up in our 8th grade hallway. Eventually, we will begin to see our brick wall of values-in-action come together.

While this picture was taken last year, it gives us an example of what we would love to see happen again this year.
