"Ask Me" Pages

Bethel Park Fourth Grade Music Class “Ask Me” Page for September

Five times per year, Mr. Booz sends home an “Ask Me” page, so you can ask your student to talk about or perform something from music class.

1. Rhythms: Our 4th graders reviewed how to decode, improvise, read, and write several different rhythms in musical notation. Your student can read and write all of this music below, speaking on “du” and “du-day” rhythm syllables.

2. Your students have also sung in canon the song “One May Begin”. A canon or round is when groups start the same song at different times, creating enjoyable harmonies.

One may begin, then number two makes a sound.

Number three joins in, and we sing a round.
