Counseling Services

My comprehensive school counseling program is based on the "American School Counselor Association's" model. The ASCA model can be seen below, which breaks down the various job responsibilities of a school counselor.  Boise School District's counseling standards come from ASCA. I have been trained to use the ASCA model, and continue to better our ASCA school counseling program. Check out their website if you'd like further information: ascanationalmodel.org

As part of the "Delivery System," I offer individual student planning, responsive services, and system support.  This includes one on one counseling for various reasons and small group counseling. Students can be seen for individual counseling. This is based off of parent referral, staff referral, or self referral. This is on an as needed basis. Outside counseling referrals may be given to parent based on student needs.  If a student would like to self-refer, encourage them to write the counselor a note and put it in the basket hanging on the door.
