Hwb Safer Internet Day Competition - Feburary 2018
A number of pupils from Years 7, 8 and 9 entered the Safer Internet Day competition run by the Hwb website. Rose Christmas, a Year 9 pupil was chosen as a finalist in the secondary section of the competition and went down to Cardiff Bay - the Pierhead building to perform the internet safety poem she had written. This was a nerve wracking experience for Rose as she performed in front of other schools and the Education Minister of Wales. Rose however took it all in her stride and as Mrs Rudman put it was 'as cool as a cucumber'. Rose went on to win the secondary section of the competition and came away with a certificate, trophy and merchandise. An excellent achievement and a very worthy winner! Well done Rose!

The pupils behaved impeccably throughout the competition and even though they didn't win the overall competition, for their first attempt they did extremely well.
Well done all!
