Overview
An opportunity for students to learn to dive as beginners or to extend their qualifications at one of the world’s leading dive resorts.
The chance to visit a local school to paint or teach the children English.
Organise and carry out marine conservation projects or beach clean ups.
Students will enrol for either PADI Open Water Diver, for beginners, or another qualification, for students holding OW or equivalent certification and at least 10 recent logged qualifying dives.

About Puerto Galera
The dive centre is Asia Divers (www.asiadivers.com) and it is one of the longest-established dive centres in Asia, located on Small La Laguna Beach, Puerto Galera, Oriental Mindoro, Philippines. Asia Divers operates instruction to the highest level and over the years has been recognised with numerous awards for excellence in safety, instruction and eco-tourism. It is a PADI 5* Career Development Center, a 5* Instructor Development Center, a National Geographic Dive Center, a Go Eco Dive Center, and a Project Aware Patron. Instruction takes place in the centre’s specially built dive pool and classrooms, in the calm shallow water off the beach in front of the centre, and in the calm bays of Puerto Galera.
Accommodation will be at the El Galleon resort and all meals will be taken in the El Galleon restaurant, on the same site as the Asia Divers centre.
The underwater flora and fauna of Puerto Galera is exceptional and the location boasts numerous safe shallow shore and boat reef dives within a 10 minute boat ride, making it an ideal location to learn. The dive centre is fully equipped for first aid, the nearest hospital is located in Puerto Galera town and the nearest decompression chamber is close by at the well-established dive medical facility in Batangas City. The dive centre has its own fast speed boats for emergency transport.
