I have more than thirty years of experience as Consultant Surgeon and am presently working as Professor of Surgery. Delivering affordable health care to people presents enormous challenges for medical professionals and our citizens. There has been a remarkable increase in the availability of high-tech diagnostic, therapeutic and surgical operations to facilitate treatment and improve quality of life.
My objective is to deliver the best surgical care, optimum outcomes, and better patient experience at an affordable cost. We aim to provide comprehensive surgical treatment to patients using rational, evidence based, technology backed and economical ways.
The unit is a surgical, tertiary care facility with provision for outpatient consultation, hospitalization, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, operative and non operative management, intensive surgical care, postoperative care, and extended care for clinical and administrative support functions.
Ours is a high burden unit for Gastrointestinal, Colo-rectal, Hepatobiliary & Cancer surgeries. Besides all general surgical operations like breast surgery, hernia, laparoscopic appendectomy, cholecystectomy, diagnostic laparoscopy, piles, fistula & fissure surgery are routinely performed on a day care basis.

A number of operations are managed on fast-track protocols or as Day Care Surgery, offering patients an early return to normal daily activities.
