TE7 Learning Goals

Learning Goal Checklist

1. Understand the purpose of orthographic, multi view, oblique, and isometric sketches, and have the ability to recognize them and roughly sketch them using various sketching lines.

2. Students will show the ability accurately measure in both standard and metric.

3. Students will be able convert standard measurements into metric measurements and vice versa.

4. Students will be able to independently design complex parts using Auto Desk Inventor, (CAD)

5. Students will be able to identify ten gear mechanisms and where they might be used.

6. Students will understand and be able to use the terms input, output, speed, torque, gear ratio, rotary motion, linear motion, and reciprocating motion.

7. Students will be able to identify coordinates of X, Y, Z.

8. Students will identify dimensions, dimensioning lines, extension lines, and leader lines.

9. Students will recognize the function of a counter bored and counter sank hole and the fasteners that work with them.

10. Students will be able to communicate using the terminology related to the engineering field, and terminology from designing parts using CAD.
