Your child's report card for first semester can be found in infinite campus.
Here is the grading scale we are using for Quest. Use this guide to help you to know what that number means. In the past, Quest has used a grading system that included a scale that had an interval of .5. To maintain consistency with other classrooms in the school district, we have changed to a whole number scale. Although this change was made and communicated early in the fall, the district did not make this change on the report card scale that is shown on your child's report card. Please ignore that scale and look to the one below.
This scale is used for Literacy, Social Studies, Science/ Engineering, Student Responsibilities, Handwriting, and Health
4 Exceeds Grade Level Quest Expectations
3 Achieves Grade Level Quest Expectations
2 Developing; needs additional practice
1 Requires continuous teacher support
A 4.0 on the report card means the student showed an in-depth understanding consistently, not just one time. It is perfectly normal to see 1s and 2s. Reassure your student that they are still learning the new, more complex material and that they are not expected to achieve 4.0s right away.
We use the following scale for Math. This is based on their Chapter Test scores.
4 94-100%
3 80-94.99%
2 70-79.99%
1 60-69.99%
0 0-59.99%
If you have any questions or concerns, please call or email me. We can also discuss at conferences.
I Love to Read Month
Stay tuned for what's coming up next month!
Please make sure your child is dressed appropriately for outdoor recess and arrival/dismissal times. Coats, hats, gloves, boots, and warm layers help ensure students stay comfortable and can safely enjoy time outside. If your child needs access to proper weather gear, please reach out to myself or the office and we can connect you with resources.
Pizza pickup will be at Parkside Elementary, door number 6, on Thursday, February 5th, 2026 from 2pm-7pm. Pizzas must be picked up during this time. If this doesn’t work for your family, please contact the Parkside PTO.
For any questions/concerns please reach out to your Parkside PTO by email: parksidebhmpto@gmail.com
