Quilling Examples

Paper quilling traces back to the 15th century, and was possibly practiced in the 13th and 14th centuries. It is said that quilling originated from nuns and monks who made decorative religious artworks in France and Italy. The process of quilling involves wrapping and shaping rolls of paper around a quill-like object (we will use a plastic needle). Throughout the years, techniques of quilling have changed resulting in many different styles and ways to quill today. You will come up with your own design either on a flat surface, or by creating a three-dimensional sculpture.
