reading workshop

Fourth grade reading units cover realistic fiction, informational non-fiction, historical fiction and the American Revolution.

Our classroom library is stocked with page turning realistic fiction, nonfiction weather disaster books, historical fiction gems as well as many other nonfiction texts. Independent reading time is always a favorite part of our day.

We will engage in book discussions and reviews, as well as written responses, focusing on author’s purpose, themes and symbolism. We will be supporting our thoughts with text evidence.
