Every student in the Bedford School District has a digital portfolio containing a technology project from each year they attended the Bedford Schools. Projects are based on curriculum content and the National Educational Technology Standards. Standards include creativity & innovation, communication & collaboration, research & information fluency, critical thinking, problem solving & decision making, digital citizenship, and technology operations & concepts. Aspects of each standard need to be met by the end of fourth grade. These standards are covered more in-depth as students advance in their school career.
Each student's e-portfolio is housed in their school Google Apps for Education account. Students can access and view their portfolio at any time. Students should not add or change anything in their e-portfolio from home. All work will be done in school with their teacher and me.
If your child is interested in sharing their ePortfolio with you, they can do that by logging into their Google account. Once logged into their account, they can open their Google Drive and navigate to their ePortfolio folder. All of their projects can be found there.
A couple of things to note:
