Students have one 30-minute band lesson every week in which they are taken out of regular class time. Students are responsible for making up any work that they missed while they are out of the classroom, including any tests, quizzes or projects. These lessons begin at the end of August/start of September. Your band teacher will come around to every classroom at the start of the year to hand out lesson schedules.
Starting in October, students will attend weekly large ensemble rehearsals. This rehearsal is before school at Station Middle School. Parents will drop students off at Entrance 26 (just past the main entrance) no earlier than 7:00am. Rehearsal begins at 7:10am, and students are dismissed to walk back to Lines (with Ms. Kirby) at 7:50am.
