Reading

We will continue to use Reading Wonders to support your child's reading, writing, and spelling. Each unit consists of five topics of instruction. In 4th grade, we spend about seven days of instruction on each topic. After each unit, we apply the skills learned, to a whole class novel. We will read Because of Winn-Dixie by Kate Dicamillo, The Story of Harriet Tubman, Conductor of the Underground Railroad by Kate McMullan, and Escaping the Giant Wave by Peg Kehret.
