"BE THE CHANGE YOU WISH TO SEE IN THE WORLD." MAHATMA GANDHI
¡Hola, bienvenidos a mí página web! Greetings, welcome to my webpage! Here, you will you find materials for Spanish II, World History and United States History: Google Classroom codes, course syllabi and weekly planners. If you have any questions, please be sure to visit me and I will help you find answers.
A bit about myself: My name is Whitney Hulse, I grew up in rural northwest Iowa and attended Iowa State University. While at ISU, I studied Spanish, History, International Studies and Political Science. Upon graduating in 2011, I began my teaching career in the Ballard School District. In 2018, I received my Master's Degree in Educational Administration at Iowa State University. For ten years, I taught Spanish II at the High School and 6th/7th/8th grade Spanish at the Middle School. Currently, I teach Spanish II, World History and United States History at the High School. I am also the advisor to High School Student Council and High School Model United Nations.
During my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, skiing, reading, playing Cribbage, hanging out in Okoboji, shopping for quirky vintage finds, and traveling anywhere and everywhere I can. At ISU and since, I have been fortunate enough to live in Spain, Okinawa (Japan), Germany and England, and vacation to places such as Chile, France, Luxembourg, Morocco, the Czech Republic, Iceland and many other countries in Europe. Traveling taught me just how valuable and enriching it is to learn about and understand cultures outside of my own. I am thrilled to be part of the Ballard Community, and love teaching and learning about the world with the students here.
