Greetings! I am excited to share this new page in order to post questions that your peers have asked.
When students e-mail a question to me, I will post it here (anonymously) along with my answer.
Prof. B (Megan)
Q: What exactly is the "stuff I forgot" in Unit 1? Will it be on the exam?
A: "UNIT 1: Stuff I Forgot" WILL be on the exam. It consists of items that appear on the Study Guide, but that did not make it into the other Google Slide Decks.
Q: So on test days (Tuesday through Thursday) we won't have time at all to take the test?
A: Exams are conducted via Blackboard in "windows" i.e. over a period of two or three days. This is done to maximize flexibility for the student. You are responsible for making sure that you complete the exam within this window. Even when there are active Testing Windows class will meet as usual.
Q: During exam days can we show up but start the test at home?
A: Not only can you, but you must! We will meet EVERY day on campus and continue to cover new material.
For instance, on Tuesday, 10 June the Exam #1 goes "live" at 9:00am
AND in class on Tuesday we will start the Google Slide decks for UNIT 2.
Q: For the source of the discussion does it have to be from what we write on?
(My interpretation of this question is: Does the source we cite in our Packback
discussions have to be related to the topic?)
A: Yes, the source that you cite for each Packback assignment should be directly
related to and/or support your discussion.
Q: I completed the Packback assignment but the points are not showing up in my Gradebook on Blackboard. Why is this?
A: Points are posted after the assignment closes. For PB Assignments that close at 11:59PM on Sundays, points are posted shortly after midnight, i.e. 12:01AM on Mondays.
Q: Where can I find the Vocabulary XCR (extra credit)?
A: It can be found on the "Word Power" page of The Morning Squirrel.
