As you explore this website, you will find that ACC-TACHE offers broad based efforts to support the goals of the TACHE statewide organization committed to the improvement of educational and employment opportunities for Hispanics in higher education.
We invite all employees of Austin Community College to join the Chapter, participate in our meetings, and become engaged in our efforts to have a college-wide commitment to student and employee success.
ACC TACHE is proud to support ACC’s emerging status as a Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI).
As a Chapter, we boast many points of pride including:
Fundraising for ACC student Scholarships.
Helping to organize ACC educational programs.
Assisting with State Conference planning.
Networking and Professional Development tailored to Chicano/Latino experience(s).
Fellowship and service to grand community.
Mentoring ACC students.
Providing leadership opportunities and training for members.
Supporting increased representation of Chicano/Latino staff, faculty and administration.
Through this website we can only provide you with a glimpse of the efforts we are undertaking to implement effective strategies that will raise academic achievement and opportunity for minority students. Irregardless of HOW you identify, our group serves as the prime meeting point for ALL Employees (Staff/ Faculty/ Hourly/ Contractor/ Interns/ Administrators) and Students who are interested in joining to have a "space" to come together, ask questions and have a resource group to call "NIDO" (a nest) at ACC.
ACC TACHE believes that together we are more united in our collective voice.
