Arizona State University at the West Valley Campus (ASU’s West Valley campus) is a diverse learner-centered public metropolitan research university situated in Glendale, Arizona, a rapidly developing metropolitan area 25 miles Northwest of downtown Phoenix. ASU’s West Valley campus is one of the four Arizona State University system campuses, including ASU Tempe, ASU Polytechnic, and ASU Downtown campuses. In 2012, the population of the greater Phoenix area was 4,192,887. The population has since grown to 5,050,500, with the majority of the growth taking place in the Northwest metropolitan area. As of Fall 2019, ASU’s West Valley campus had a headcount enrollment of 4,929 serving a student body of nearly 9,000 students, and ASU’s West Valley campus expects to grow to a student body of 25,000 in the next twenty years. ASU’s West Valley campus will continue to be the Northwest Valley’s largest research intensive university.
