Welcome to Kindergarten!

I am so excited to be a part of your child’s experience at Aquarian. Aquarian has been a big part of my family’s life for the past seventeen years. I am a firm believer in the the diversity of children and strive to teach to engage them in their own learning. I look forward to sharing many exciting and wonderful experiences over the next year. Please don’t hesitate to ask any questions or voice any comments or concerns. I am usually at school about 8:00 am until about 4:00 pm. I will also continually be checking my email throughout the day.

I have been getting lots of great questions about school supplies! Personally I love school supply shopping:) What most Aquarian teachers do is ask for $25 at the start of the school year. This money will go towards all our school supplies. Throughout the year I will be asking for items on an as-needed basis, for example wipes and tissues. I do encourage shopping for supplies to keep at home so that your student can have a special place for school work. They will have one sheet of math homework each night.

In August, I will be calling to set up Kindergarten meetings. As soon as teachers come back to school, I'll start calling to set up a time that works best for you. If you would like to email me a time that works best I can try and save that spot for you. If not, I will be calling later in the week to find the best time for you!

Yikes! I almost forgot!! They will need to have PE shoes that they can get on and off themselves. (No tie shoes, if they aren't ready to tie them). These shoes will stay at school:)
