Special Helper Calendar

Special Helper:  Each child will get to be a special helper.  This is their day to help the teacher with various tasks throughout the day, and are welcome to bring a special drink and/or snack to class.  You are always welcome in our classroom, but this may be an especially great day for you to be part of our learning activities.

We will begin the Special Helper activity toward the end of September.  I will try to schedule their special helper day on or near his/her birthday.  I will distribute a calendar for this at the beginning of each month.  Please review the dates listed and let me know if there are any scheduling conflicts.  I will do my best to reschedule.  We will celebrate summer birthdays in May or we can do half-birthdays if that works better for you.

On their special helper day, they will have a special activity to do at home.  They will bring home our mystery letter bag.  They will choose an object from your home that begins with the letter of the week and will fit in the bag.  With your help, they will write three clues for the class to guess what the object is.
