Hi Everyone: September is traditionally one of the warmest months here in Naples and usually one of the quietest in terms of not many visitors. I have had a wonderful time this summer creating new paintings for the upcoming season and for exhibits throughout South West Florida.
In addition to my new "Great White Egret" and "Provence Memorial” I have finished three abstract paintings which are now in the process of being framed. I sincerely hope that you will stop by the studio and consider one of our unique works of art for you home or that special gift.

Hi Everyone: Well here we are in the heat of Summer here in Naples. This is the time when I get to paint, teach classes and get ready for the new season. This season, I will be doing all of the Naples Art Association and Naples Art Crafters Shows beginning in October in downtown Naples plus some of the two day shows at Coconut Point and other nearby venues. I’ll keep you posted.

Hi Everyone and welcome to another new and exciting “ art season “ here in beautiful Naples, Florida. I have been working very hard this past Summer, creating new art work and a new show display for the coming season. I look forward to seeing all my old friends and clients and of course meeting many new art lovers along the way. Here are some of my activities for the month of October 2015.
GIRLS NIGHT OUT…Acrylic Classes held on the third Wednesday of every month from 5-7:30pm beginning October 21, 2015 and every third Saturday from 12:30-3:00pm beginning January 16, 2016. All classes will be held at the Arts on Fire Studio & Gallery, 5880 Shirley St. Suite 207 ( off of Pine Ridge Road ) Naples. Complete your masterpiece in 2 1/2 hours. The party starts with you bringing your own wine and snacks. All painting supplies are included in the $45 per class fee. Hi Everyone: Welcome back. I hope your Summer was very restful and healthy. I am looking forward to an amazing year here in beautiful Naples, Florida.
During this past Summer I have had an opportunity to create new pieces for the upcoming season and to collaborate with many of my colleagues as to how we can make the art scene in our community more exciting that it already is. I’m sure you will be very happy with what you see at the shows this season.
Let me begin by thanking Lisa Marciano, Naples Depot Museum Director, her staff and volunteers, my family, colleagues and visitors to the museum for a wonderful reception and two month exhibit at this fabulous location. Hi Everyone: A very special thank you to all my family, friends and colleagues that attended my opening night reception of “Sights of Paradise” exhibition at the Naples Depot Museum. The staff and volunteers of the museum were wonderful and the amount of media coverage is fantastic. The exhibit will run through July 31, 2015. The depot museum is located at 1051-5th Avenue South in Naples and is open Monday-Saturday from 9am-4pm. Admission is free.
The Arts on Fire Studio & Gallery, 5880 Shirley St. Suite # 207, Naples in conjunction with the Naples Art District (NAD) will host an open house on Wednesday, July 1st from 5-8pm benefitting Pace Center For Girls “Love That Dress-Collection Party” Please bring a new or gently loved dress to any of the NAD sponsored studios. The month of January concludes with two major art events in Naples:
** Art Fest Naples** will be held on Saturday and Sunday, January 24 and 25 from 10am till 4pm in Flieshman Park (off of Goodlette/Frank Road) in downtown Naples. This is one of the premier art shows of the season featuring many local and nationally known artists. A must attend.
In addition, Empty Bowls, a charity event in which local potters, artists and restaurants sell soup bowls to benefit the Harry Chapin Food Bank on Saturday, January 24 at 10am at Cambier Park.

Hi Everyone: Hope all of you had a happy, safe and healthy Thanksgiving with family and friends and are now in the Christmas spirit. Although activities tend to slow down here in Naples during the Christmas Season, the art scene is alive and well with many events and exhibitions for all to attend.
Wednesday evening, December 3, 2014 from 5-8pm ARTS on FIRE STUDIO and GALLERY, 5880 Shirley St. Suite 207 as part of ART ALIVE with the Naples Art Alliance and the Naples Art District. Wine and light refreshments will be served. This is a wonderful opportunity to visit many outstanding galleries, speak with the artists and perhaps purchase that special piece for yourself, your home or as a holiday gift to someone special. Unique holiday items include cups, trivets and coasters, all with original art work for that special stocking stuffer.In addition, my Venice Fire and Venice Boats pieces are currently on exhibit at the Gallery at Rookery Bay, 300 Tower Rd., Naples from present to January 1, 2015. The members gallery at the Von Liebig Center for the Arts, 585 Park Street, Naples is currently featuring and exhibit entitled Roots and my Historic Naples Train Depot painting is part of that presentation until January 3, 2015. Thank you for visiting my booth at the last Artcrafters Show in Naples. The show was a huge success and a great way to start the “season”. I had a wonderful response to the new Gallery Wraps, Coasters and other new items. New for November will include holiday paintings and gift ideas. November is here and the atmosphere in Naples is beginning to reeve up. So here is my schedule for the month.
I am very excited to announce that two of my paintings, Venice Boats and Venice Fire (which can be seen on the web-site), have been selected by Juror, Richard Mueller and the United Arts Council of Collier County to be part of the Annual Rookery Bay Exhibit at 300 Tower Rd., Naples from November 6 through December 31, 2014. Please stop by and visit this wonderful educational center.The Arts on Fire Studio & Gallery, 5880 Shirley Street (off Pine Ridge Road) Suite 207, Naples, will be part of ART ALIVE (open house) beginning Wednesday, November 5 from 5-8pm and Saturday, November 15 from 11am-4pm and Sunday, November 16 from 1-4pm. Hello Everyone and welcome to the 2014-2015 Art Scene in beautiful Naples and Southwest Florida. Hope everyone’s Summer was exciting with traveling to new places, family gatherings and just plain relaxing. My husband and I took a long awaited vacation to the Grand Canyon this Summer and visited, Lake Powell, Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park and ended our stay in Las Vegas. Needless to say, I was very inspired by the beauty of the landscape and hopefully able to capture it's majesty in some future work.
As you all know, the Summer here in Naples is considered the “off season” and that gives us a chance to catch up and do new projects and paintings to get ready for our clients, friends and visitors to return during the Fall, Winter and Spring.
This year was no exception and I have been busy in the studio with new paintings for everyone to enjoy on the web site: www.ArtworkbyMichaela.com as well as at the studio and the various shows around town. In addition, I have taken many of my original works and had them reproduced as “Gallery Wraps” that can be hung without frames or glass. I’m sure many of you will enjoy this new addition and with a significant savings from the originals.
The gallery: Arts on Fire at 5880 Shirley Street, Suite 207 (off Pine Ridge Road in Naples) is currently open daily at 10am or by appointment by calling 239-272-6383 or 239-284-0242. The gallery is also part of Art Alive and the Art Alliance of Naples and is open on the 1st Wednesday of each month from 5-8pm and the 3rd weekend of each month on Saturday from 11am-4pm and Sunday from 1-4pm beginning in November. In addition, my work can also be seen at The Art Boutique at Tin City in downtown Naples.
The first outdoor show of the season will be Saturday, October 25, 2014 from 10am-4pm at Cambier Park in downtown Naples as part of the Naples Artcrafters Association.

Hi Everyone:WELCOME TO MY NEW STUDIO & GALLERY SPACE. I am very excited about moving in! I wanted to personally invite all of you to visit me at Arts on Fire Studio, 5880 Shirley Street Suite # 207 ( off of Pine Ridge Road) this coming Wednesday, April 2 from 5-8pm. This Wednesday will be the final open house for the season for the Art Alive Wednesday sponsored by Art Alliance Naples and the Naples Art District featuring over twenty-six different artists using a variety of different mediums.
Naples was named the best Small Art Town in America in John Villani’s book, The 100 Best Art Towns in America. In it he calls Naples “an arts powerhouse overdue for national attention” and rates it #1 in America.

Hi Everyone: Hope you are all doing well and getting ready for some much needed Springtime weather ( except here in Florida of course). This is the height of the busy season for us here in the Sunshine State and this is my schedule for March 2014.
I will be in the Naples Art Association Show on Saturday, March 1, 2014 from 10am til 4pm on Park Street in downtown Naples and on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the Naples Artcrafters Show in Cambier Park, also in downtown Naples from 10am til 4pm.
I will be hosting our own community show here at Glen Eagle Golf & Country Club on Monday, March 10, 2014 from 10am til 3pm on the restaurant lanai. This event is not open to the public, however, all Glen Eagle members and friends are invited to attend.
My new endeavor: I have joined two other artists in a new working studio and gallery called Arts on Fire on Shirley Street ( off of Pine Ridge Road in Naples) beginning in April 2014. I am very excited about this new adventure and sincerely hope that all my friends and fellow art lovers will visit. The studio and gallery is open every day, however, during the season, we are open on the first Wednesday from 5 till 8pm and on the third weekend of each month for an artist event called ART ALIVE representing 26 studios and galleries and over 80 artists.
